Atef Sedki,

Sidki (born August 29, 1930 in tanÄŤĂ­, nort hern Egypt, died. February 25 2005 in Cairo), Egyptian politician , prime minister from 1986-1996. He earned a Ph.D. in economics a t the University of Paris, and graduated from the Faculty of Law. He worked in government and private practice lawyer. In December 1981 he was appointed as the Chairman of the Economic and Monetary Affairs at the parliament. Since October 1982 he was Deputy Prime Minister. November 9, 1986 he was appointed by President Hosni Mubarak Prime Minister, succeeded to the position of Ali Lutfiego.
